An access floor is literally a “floor placed upon a floor” that creates an interstitial space. It is the backbone of the Building Technology Platform®. The BTP integrates the access floor system to distribute critical building services, such as power, voice, data and the distribution of heating and cooling (HVAC) services.
- Tate’s ConCore® / PosiLockTM system is an engineered access floor solution. By simply lifting up the carpet tiles and ConCore panels, you have safe, clean, instant access to make service distribution changes. It’s the lowest cost, long-term solution for today’s high office churn rates. ConCore® panels and PosiLockTM understructure are the flooring components of Tate’s Building Technology Platform®.
The flexibility of access flooring supports advanced space planning concepts by distributing power, voice, data and HVAC anywhere in the workplace environment. By dramatically enhancing the ability to quickly and economically reconfigure the work environment, spaces can adjust to the user’s needs, rather than the other way around. Employees who are in and out of the office, job sharing and other alternative ways of working are easily accommodated.
